Fast Turnaround on Tough Encapsulation
When Scottish Water and George Leslie encountered an urgent issue on the DN900 main at Ballochruin Farm, our team received the emergency call on 27th October and responded immediately. Thanks to our extensive stock levels encapsulation collars, rapid response capabilities and experienced installation partners, we were able to complete the site survey, confirm measurements and carry out the full installation of the DN900 Nova Siria DuoFit Encapsulation Collar by 29th October at North Ballochruin Farm in Glasgow.
The main presented significant ovality, which made the repair particularly challenging.
A dedicated option would not have been viable in this scenario.
However, the large tolerance of the Nova Siria DuoFit Encapsulation Collar allowed it to be installed successfully on the first attempt with no complications. This ensured that the emergency repair could proceed without delay or the need for custom fabrication.
Following installation, testing was completed on site and witnessed by Scottish Water, with the system performing exactly as required. The project highlights both the reliability and adaptability of the DuoFit system as well as our ability to respond quickly and effectively in demanding conditions.
