LazerBooster: Off-Grid Power
The LazerBooster deployed at Diddersley Hill in November 2024 was installed and commissioned in a single day to provide off-grid power for three ABB flow sensors and an RTS telemetry system. Despite being deployed at the start of winter—when solar generation is at its lowest—the system successfully powered the 24-hour load of approximately 800 watts per day. Its high-capacity battery banks ensured uninterrupted operation through the darkest periods, and the site generated 21.2 kWh of solar energy during December, demonstrating full year-round capability.
Battery levels remained above 80% throughout and returned to surplus within the first two weeks of January as daylight increased. Operating silently and requiring no external energy input beyond solar power, the LazerBooster continues to deliver reliable, autonomous performance with constant remote monitoring of battery health, energy usage and system status.
